Three formats. One clear mandate.

A technical second opinion reviews one defined decision. Ongoing sparring creates regular space for executive-level questions. Focused support adds an external review to a time- and topic-bounded initiative.

  • Technical second opinion: €1,500; a written 5–8 page assessment in three working days.
  • Ongoing sparring: €3,000 per month; two calls of 60–90 minutes, cancellable monthly.
  • Focused support: from €8,000 per month; two to four days monthly in agreed three-month blocks.

What an independent view can clarify

In 2021, a Malta e-money institution requested a review of its core system. About 60% of its functions were usable; customer and transaction data sat in one unprotected database instance. Enhancements were owned by the licensor. The recommendation was to stabilize, stop extending and replace.

In 2023, €500m in customer assets was migrated under supervision to a certified platform with ISO 27001 certification. Jürgen Röck later led that implementation. This is one documented case, not a promise of outcomes elsewhere.

Independence includes boundaries

The current engagement is independent assessment, sparring and tightly scoped support. It is not general implementation, certification, legal advice, operational team management or ownership of outcomes. Decisions and implementation remain with the client.

A considered next step

Clarify the question before choosing the scope.

An initial conversation is for clarifying the issue, the available information and the boundaries. If another format is a better fit, that will be said plainly.
